Terms to facilitate communication
« on: May 08, 2020, 08:06:07 AM »
For those new to this forum or just passing through, and in view of Voltaire's admonition to define terms to facilitate communication,
I offer these terms defined to provide context, understanding, and communication:

Euphemism: n. A mild, indirect, or vague term for one that is considered harsh, blunt or offensive.
Government: A euphemism for a criminal syndicate that extorts people for money and control.
Legislators: n. A euphemism for a group of politicians whose majority opinions are errantly called law.
Law: n. A euphemism for the majority opinion of a group of politicians backed by extortion and a willingness to kill the serfs for refusing to obey the politician's opinions.
Police: n. A euphemism for thugs willing to use violence against the serfs who refuse to obey the politician's opinions.
Arrest: v. The politician's thugs kidnapping serfs for refusing to obey the politicians' opinions.
Jail: n. The cage where the politician's thugs put serfs for refusing to obey the politicians' opinions.
Prison: n. Same as jail.

Euphemism: n. A mild, indirect, or vague term for one that is considered harsh, blunt or offensive;
And I emphatically add: accurately descriptive.

Taxed - Extorted.
Arrested - Kidnapped.
Jailed - Shoved in a cage.
Voting - Pretending to make a difference that counts.
Voting - Believing that one can delegate authority one does not have while not being aware of that belief.
Law - Politician's opinion.
Law - Death sentence for disobeying.
Consent of the governed - A way to show many people do not understand consent.
Government - a criminal syndicate that extorts people for money and control.

I tend to piss people off when I challenge, "What, specifically, do you mean by "government".

Especially those who have reified (regarded or treated an abstraction as if it had concrete or material existence) and anthropomorphized (ascribed human characteristics to things not human) the mental construct called government.
