A slave is a natural person OWNED by a person other than themselves. Any time I do not have complete ownership of myself, I am a slave. Any time you do not have complete ownership of yourself, you are a slave. If somebody has a higher claim on my body or my life than I do, I am a slave. If somebody has a higher claim on your body or your life than you do, you are a slave.
