A Litmus Test of Law and Government

Table of Contents

        Law and government are the same. Supreme Law created the government that created more laws.

        The Litmus Test of Law is simple.  Measure Law by the standard that is its raison d'être.  The Litmus Test of government is simple.  Measure its actions by the standard that is its raison d'être.
  • Does this law protect Life?
  • Does this law protect Liberty?
  • Does this law protect Property?
  • Does this government action protect Life?
  • Does this government action protect Liberty?
  • Does this government action protect Property?

        I will give an example of how to measure law by the standard of protecting Life, Liberty, and Property by measuring Seat Belt Laws that allow police officers to pull you over and issue a fine for not wearing said seat belt.

        If you are of legal age and you are too stupid to wear a seatbelt, it's your right to be stupid. It's your right to be cavalier with your own Life.  As Thomas Jefferson said, "Liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others."  Hopefully you will off yourself before you procreate and pass your chromosomes of stupidity on to your offspring.

        If you have minors you are responsible for, you are responsible for their lives.  You had better have their belts on them.  They also have a right to Life.  Since they are not of legal age, they are presumed to not have the knowledge to be responsible for themselves - That's why you, as the parent, are responsible for them.  Since seatbelts can be proven to save lives by empirical data collected from a lot of crashes, seat belt laws are supposed to be for the purpose of saving lives -- Of Minors:  Since they are not of legal age, it doesn't violate their Liberty.

        On the other hand, seatbelt laws presume to tell an adult Citizen what to do with their Life and their body - A VERY serious violation of Liberty.  These laws also give badge carrying thugs a reason to stop a Citizen and violate the Citizen's Right to travel.  This then allows a form of searching the Citizen's car without a proper search warrant. This is also a very serious violation of Liberty.  And then there is the fine. This is a serious violation of Property.

        When seatbelt laws are measured against the standard of protecting Life, Liberty, and Property, this law says to the Sovereign Citizen:

  • You are not responsible for yourself;
  • You are not responsible for your life;
  • We can violate your right to travel;
  • We can violate your right to privacy;
  • We can violate your right to property.

        Not wearing a seatbelt - A very heinous crime by a villainous criminal that demands action by the police.... NOT!
